What to Expect

Real Church is a fun, exciting, vibrant, and dynamic place to meet new people, learn about God, and worship Him with other believers. You are welcome just as you are. Jeans? Tee-shirt? Tie? Suit? It doesn’t matter, as long as you come dressed as yourself. (FYI, that means jeans for most of us!)

Never been to church, you say? Well, we’d love to be your first! Afraid of what to expect? As long as you’re not afraid of friendly faces and great coffee, you’ll be fine. Don’t want to commit to something? We promise – if you hate it, you don’t have to come back.

That being said, we think you’ll love it at Real Church. If you’re reading this, then God is calling you. Come visit us and find out what He’s calling you for!

Worship

Here at Real Church, you’re more likely to find Stratocasters and Drum Cages than dusty pipe organs (not that there’s anything wrong with dusty pipe organs!). Our music (“Worship”) team aims to be exciting, skillful, and fun. When it comes to our sound, we think “rock,” and when it comes to our hearts, we think “genuine.”

At the start of every service, we devote about 20 minutes as a group to singing, praising God, and having fun. Lots of people sing, but not everything. Some people dance, some people stand still, and some people sit. What’s important to us is that our hearts and minds are focused on God, and that we’re having a good time doing it! That’s what we mean when we say “Worship.”
