On December 17th, HopeWorks and Real Church Detroit will host Joy To The D, a Holiday Outreach that provides gifts to families in need. We provide hundreds of brand new toys and gifts to parents who are otherwise unable to afford gifts for their families. We will hosting two Joy to the D locations -- one in Detroit, and one in Hamtramck.
Joy To The D is a simple event, and goes a long way to brighten the holidays for countless area families. Children arrive with a parent or guardian, and are treated to age-appropriate activities like games, lessons, stories, crafts, and snacks. Meanwhile, the adults visit our FREE holiday store, where they are able to shop in private for their children, and even have their gifts wrapped and labeled.
It’s all about families, and it’s all FREE. Our goal is to provide a happy and loving season for as many families as possible – and through that, inspire an entire generation of dreamers and change-makers within the metro Detroit area.
